Lipoprotein(a)/Lp(a) Test

Offered by Quest

Measure for lipoprotein(a) to help determine your risk for heart attack, heart disease, stroke, and other diseases of the blood vessels for those with a history of premature ASCVD (Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease) not explained by major risk factors

Overview

Most people with high levels of lipoprotein(a) don't have any symptoms and don't know they are affected. Once you’ve had your Lp(a) level measured, you won’t usually need to have it checked again. If the results show you have higher than normal levels of lipoprotein(a), you and your healthcare provider should work together to help determine next steps.
